【振り返り】留学を終えて感じる変化＆留学を控えるあなたへ僕なりのアドバイス

3/16日に京都へ帰ってきました。

1年と3週間のアメリカ生活を終えた今、

・自分が行く前と行った後でどう変わったのか

・その変化は何が原因なのか
を自分なりに振り返りながら、書いていきたいと思います。

最後には、留学を控えている人に僕なりのアドバイスを送りたいと思います。

この１年でどう自分が変わったかどんな取り組みの結果、その変化があったのか

  余裕をもてるようになった

＊色々な文化や人に触れようとしたから
＊上記の補足

ここで僕が言う「余裕」とは、「丸くなった、角がとれた、親しみ易くなった」という
ことだと思って頂ければいいです。今までの僕は自分が定めた目標を達成するために、
たくさんのタスクを設定して、それをやっきになってこなしていました。
つまり僕はそのタスクをこなすことが第一の優先順位だったんですね。
当時の僕を例にあげて説明すると、
「英語を習得する」＝自分の目標
「日本人を排除する」「アメリカ人とのネットワークをつくる」＝タスク
という感じです。なんか余裕の無い冷たそうな人間ですよね。笑
ですが、最終的にそうではなくなりました。

その理由が色々な人や文化にたくさん触れることでした。「1年もアメリカにいれば英語
は絶対話せるようになる」という自信が持てたので、「英語を習得するという目的から、
アメリカでの出会いや文化を最大限楽しみ、吸収することにシフトできました。
これが自分にとっては大きな変化でした。
たくさんの出会いや、文化の違いは、僕に広い視野を与えてくれました。
その結果何がおこっても、「こういうことはあるよね」と寛大に受け止められるようにな
りました。日本人を排除していた時の僕と比べれば、余裕がある人間って感じですよね笑

その他の理由をあげるとすれば、やはりアメリカは生活のスピードが、日本と比べ遅いの
で、しっかり自分のやりたいことを行える時間を確保できたのが大きな理由と言えます。
あと彼女の存在もかなり大きいと思う。

僕が留学にアメリカという地を選んだのは、僕自身アメリカという国に対し、強い憧れ
を持っていたからでした。アメリカ人と話していたときに、アメリカへのイメージを話し
ていたら、日本人はそんな固定観念を持っているの？とビックリされました。
それがきっかけで、自分の固定観念を潰すことを意識し始めました。
その結果分かった事が、「アメリカなんて大したことがない」ということです。

アメリカの教育はdiscassion中心で、主体性が育つというイメージですが、それは大学の話
です。教育という観点で日本とアメリカを比べれば、日本の方がかなり良いということが
分かります。サービスにしたってそうだし、ご飯にしたってそう。
つまり世界のアメリカというイメージだけど、言うてみれば「ただの１つの国でしか
ない」ということです。アメリカみたいに自分が世界の中心と考えている国は、日本の
ことなんて全然知らないんです。知ろうともしないし、知ろうとしても日本語が読め
ない、さらに日本人は英語を使って、そのサービスの良さ、ご飯の上手さ、美しさを発
信できないから。だからこそ僕はそれを発信したいと思うようになりました。

将来のことを、現実味を持って考えることができるようになった

僕はIBPプログラムというICCが提供するプログラムを活用し、留学しました。
そこでは社会人の方から学生の人まで、幅広い人が同じプログラムの中で留学します。
そんな狭いコミュニティだからこそ、深い交流が可能でした。
その結果社会人の方とも、友達のように接す事ができ、いろいろな価値観や勤務に関し
ての常識を教えてもらえた。それにより社会に対しての認識が広りました。

そういうこともあり、自分の価値というものから改めて将来を考え、見つめ直しました。
結果論だけですが、今は全く起業したいと思いません。

その理由は、こうして社会に対しての認識が改まったのに加えて、自分が起業しなくとも
やりたいことを行える自信を手に入れたからです。

なぜそんな自信がでたのかというと、英語という武器を手に入れた事が大きいと思い
ます。アメリカで色々なオフィスを見学した結果、自分らしい生き方というのは、自分が
本当にやりたければ行えると感じたからです。さすがにまだ日本では、会社に努めながら
自分のやりたいことを同時に行うのは厳しいですが、僕は英語という武器を身につけたの
で、最悪の場合は海外で働けるんです。そうした視野の広がりにより、より現実的且つ、
冷静に将来を考えれるようになりました。

これから留学をしたいと考えるあなたへ僕なりのアドバイス

・  英語はただのツールでしか無いということ
→英語をはやく習得しようと思って、日本人を排除する生活を選んでしまうと、人間的に魅力がなくなる。魅力がない人には絶対人は集まらない。日本人と絡んでいても、楽しそうなら他の国の人も輪に入りたがる。ちなみにアメリカ人は、笑い声が聞こえると、すぐその笑い声のあるところへ行き会話に混ざろうとする。
＊限りある時間なのは分かるけど、その一瞬一瞬を何よりも大切に！

・  自分が持っている固定観念をぶつけてみる事の大切さ
→自分が抱く固定観念とその国の人が捉えている解釈は大きく異なることの方が多い。僕は中国人に反日のことをガンガン質問していました。笑
＊固定観念を減らす事で、より世界を俯瞰的に見る事ができる。
＊俯瞰的に世界が見ろ！そうすれば今の自分の立ち位置世界規模で見えてくる！

・  感謝の気持ちを忘れずにいること
→今まで気づかなかった価値観や機会に恵まれる
＊当たり前が当たり前じゃないことを感じて欲しい


僕は人に最も必要な事は「器の大きさ」だと考えています。
その器の大きさこそ「余裕」として現れるものだとも思っています。
僕はこの留学の中で一番僕を近くで見てくれていた人に聞きました。
この留学で俺の変わった所ってどこやと思う？と。
そして「余裕があるようになった」と言ってくれました。
英語力よりも僕が一番大事にしてる「余裕を持つ」という力を、この当たり前が
当たり前でないを気づかせてくれた留学を通して磨けたことを嬉しく思います。


僕を留学にいかせてくれた家族、留学中たくさん支えてくれた彼女、一緒にがんばった
友達、俺の英語を一生懸命伸ばそうとしてくれたカンバセーションパートナー。
日本でダイトには負けてられへんからがんばる！といって本当に全力で走っている友達。
まだまだ感謝したい人はいっぱいいます。みんな本当にありがとう！
無事日本にかえって来れました！

last day of seattle!

Hi,
I'm Daito,
and today is Mar 14th

this is my last day in Seattle.
before i leave, i had many things to do.
that's why i was unable to write this daily
yesterday, and day before yesterday.


12th
i graduated from uw program, and ibp program,
which i was taking part in here.
i took a lot pf pictures.

after that,
i hanged out with friends who graduated at the same time with me.
i hope we can keep in tough.


13th
i hanged out with my best friend from korea, and my gf.
after that i packed almost everything, and got deposit from my property manager.
what i did this day was just getting ready to go home. kkk


14th
today we left seattle to japan.
i was supposed to go to LA, and transfer to japan,
but i was able to go to japan directly since
many other passengers wanted to board this plane,
so the lady who works at airport upgraded my ticket
with same cost. that'd be awesome!


I'll write a "looking back seattle's studying abroad" article in japanese later.

prepared!

and today is Mar 11th


today i prepared to go back to japan
like stop paying for my cellphone,
sending my stuff to japan,
packing my almost all stuff into my luggage,
and writing an article for my website.


now, i feel like i'll go back to japan.
it's kinda mixed feeling though.


in my free time today,
i read comic book of learning phycology.
every time when i found where i didn't know,
i did screenshot to keep it in my mind.


phycology is sooooo fun!
i'll definitely take a class of phycology!!!

exploring downtown

Hi,
I'm Daito.
and today is Mar 10th
actually 11th though, kkk


today what i did were exploring around downtown to buy some stuff.
actually it was very fun for me because i found new nice store that i didn't know.


after that i closed my bank account.
i heard that it was easy to close,
but it takes 10 mins.
i thought as long as i just went to the bank, and asked to close,
i could close my bank.
but actually i had to show my identify card, and talk with banker,
and withdraw rest of money, and wait a little bit to close account.


after i did that,
i remembered that i had to get deposit from my manager of this house,
so i shouldn't have closed my account, maybe...omg
i'll ask banker again.


after that i went to have dinner with my american friend with my gf.
we promised to meet again in japan.
thank you!!!

tomorrow i'll stop paying for my cellphone,
and send my stuff to japan.

souvenir

and today is Mar 10th


my study abroad is almost finished.
today what i did were to go shopping to buy souvenir,
(i hope my precious friends will like it )


and having dinner with my friends.
they served us hand made food.
it was nice, thank you so much!

Last intern & TOEIC test!

Hi,
I'm Daito
and today is Mar 8th

【7th】
yesterday was my last day of internship.
now that i looked back,
i felt that people who work at that company were really nice.
i really got great experience from that people, and company.
in the lunch time,
people had fear-well cake for us.

as soon as i left that company,

i prepared to go to portland to have toeic test.

that's why i was unable to write this blog that day.

sorry.

we left from seattle to portland at around 7 by car.

it took 4 hours to portland, but it was fun!

【8th】
after waking up,
we had breakfast, and go to have toeic test.
i think i could achieve 800 points,
but i wanted to get over 900....


after taking exam,
we went to shopping.
portland is tax free area, so i was able to buy without tax!!
and they also have huge percentage of discount,
so i could buy some stuff with very very super cheep price.

surprisingly this watch was just $60!!!
if i tried to buy this one in seattle, or in japan.
it's gonna be over 100...
i did very nice shopping!

today i'm gonna hang out with some of people who are taking the program that i took 6 months ago.

and today is Mar 6th
today i'm gonna write about 5th, and 6th.


many things happened to me, kkk

【5th】
i had class that day.
i already gave presentation, so i had nothing to do on that day.
in the class, i evaluated my teacher.
it makes me feel like it's about time ti finish this quarter.


after that i hanged out with my friends, and teacher of summer quarter.
i noticed again that i loved that class.
i'm gonna post some pictures on facebook.


after that, i went to japanese restaurant
with my gf, gf's best friend, and my best friend in seattle
to let them enjoy japanese food, and convey our appreciation.


it was really nice day for me!
I'll definitely go to korea!


【6th】
tomorrow is gonna be my last day of internship,
so i did what i could do as much as possible.


after that, i studied toeic for the exam that is on this weekend.
i really hate grammatically questions, kkk
i really want to exceed over 800, and hopefully 900
even though my aim was just 800 at first, lol
because of human being like effected by the people around you.


tomorrow is my last internship!
the day after tomorrow, i'll go to portland to have the exam.

My condition got fine!

and today is Mar 4th


today i didn't come to office
even though i felt much better than yesterday
to get my condition fine.


my condition got fine earlier
than i expected
so that i could write three articles
for my website.


since i'm done writing articles by Thursday,
i can make an effort to study for TOEIC on Thursday
cuz i have an exam on this saturday.


it's gonna be my last time to study for toeic in U.S,
so i'm sure i can concentrate on it.


tomorrow i have a class,
but i already finished final presentation,
so it's gonna be easy, kkk

and today is Mar 3rd.

today i was suffering from stomachache.
today i was gonna write two articles,
and do my tasks that my senior gave me,
and fix my design.


but what i could do today were writing an article,
fixing my design.....because of stomachache.


tomorrow,
I'll skip my intern to get my condition better.


I'm not sure if i can hang out with my friends.
one of my best friends from korea will cook for us,
so i don't wanna miss that.

I've just been to Vancouver

I'm Daito
and today is Mar. 2nd

from Mar 1st to 2nd,
we went to Vancouver!!

you know,
in canada,
the age that can drink alcohol is over 20,
which means i can drink there!
so i enjoyed nice food, nice drink,
and the atmosphere.

luckily, our hotel was upgraded to the most gorgeous room somehow.
so i can sleep comfortable!
my bed that i'm using here is not soft, it's hard,
so i can get rid of my tiredness.

i took a lot of pictures there,
so i'm gonna post them on facebook later.

tomorrow i take a off to study toeic,
but before that i have to fix my design of advertising.

feb is finished...
i'm gonna go back to japan soon!


today i did internship as usual,
but other interns didn't come for some reasons.
so i felt alone, kkk


after that,
i had dinner with my one of best friend,
and his friend from CA at japanese restaurant.


i felt like i wanted them to enjoy japanese food a lot
even though i didn't cook that one, kkk
i noticed i'm really proud of japan again, kkk

today i took two classes.
first one was about online marketing.
i was able to learn how to write catchy title in english.

last one was about how differentiate from your competitor.
it was really fun too!


since i wanted to take these classes,
i changed the company for internship.
i'm satisfied with that so far♪


after i came home,
i did some tasks that my senior entrusted me,
and then i made powerpoint slides for tomorrow's final presentation.

and today is Feb 24th


Today after working,
i went back home directly
to finish my tasks sooner.


my tasks were like
washing my cloths,
writing an article,

or something like that.


my roomy has exam tomorrow,
so that i should hit the light earlier,
which means i'm gonna sleep earlier.


we talked about karaoke,
it makes me wanna go to karaoke.

【しゃべくリアン】今伝えたいありがとう

どうもこんにちは
久しぶりのしゃべくリアンです！


今週のテーマは、「今伝えたいありがとう」


ほんといつも良いテーマ。笑
アメリカ生活がもうすぐ終わるので、今の僕が一番書きたかったテーマのひとつです。
俺の心が読まれてるって思うくらいタイミングばっちしです笑


ありがとうという気持ちは、いつも伝えてるつもりです。
親にも、周りの友達にも、もちろん彼女にも、そして人だけでなく環境にも。


ですので今日は、
アメリカに来たからこそ伝えられるありがとう
を伝えようかなと思います。

「日本という国と日本人に有り難う」

アメリカに来てから、僕は日本人というだけでとても優遇されたような気がします。


僕らからみるとforeignerにあたる人たちが僕たち日本人に抱くイメージが良く、そのおかげで信頼関係を築きやすかったり、文化交流を積極的に行えたりと、今思うと日本人ブランドというものに多いに助けられたと思います。


その日本人ブランドというものを作ったのは、もちろん先代の日本人だし、そこに対して有り難いな〜と感じる留学の終わりの今日このごろです。


もちろん先人だけじゃなく、ひとりひとりが異国の土地に来ても責任を持ち、相手に経緯を払いながら行動してきたからこそ、今の日本や日本人に対してのイメージがある。


そういうことを考えれば、僕自身もっと行動を改めるべきこともあったけども、日本人である自分をしたってくれ、日本に行くね！といってくれる友達ができたということは、ひとつの誇りでもあるな〜と大げさにも感じています。


一方で日本人のイメージを悪くしないですんだのかなと、少し安心していたり・・・笑


つまり僕が今日伝えたい感謝というのは、そういう長い年月をかけて積み重ねられてきた重みへのありがとうです。


こう書くと大げさに聞こえるけど、ほんまに日本て国はすごいんやで！って思う。
だから日本帰ってからは、日本を世界に発信したいと思う。


幸いにもLienという素晴らしい団体にいて、京都という文化歴史の地にいるんだから、それらを活かして、日本に帰ったら職人さんへのインタビューを開始したいと思ってる。
その記事をせっかく学んだ英語っているツールをつかって世界に広げて行けるように。


まだまだ未熟やけど、これから先が楽しみですわ！
こうやって日本帰ってからのやりたいことが、上で言ったことに至ったのは、日本の素晴らしさ、日本人の素晴らしさを海外に出て気づいたからやと思います。


この気づきにも感謝やね。

and today is Feb 23rd

today i was able to be relaxed today.
i took a looong nap to work hard from next week again, kkk

after taking a long nap,
i wrote an article for my website.

when i opened my room's refrigerator,
i realized my roomy ate all of my yogurt, omg
i'm sooo sad, omg my yogurt....
but it's okey, lol
it's learning for me...lol

and today is Feb 22nd
(actually 23rd's morning)

what i'm gonna do is
talking about 21st, 22nd.


【21st】
i did internship as usual.
in the lunch time, i served Oden
to other intern.

after working,
i was waiting that my supervisor was coming
since we were going to have dinner together.

we went to starbacks to wait him.
we talked about many things.

after the supervisor came,
we went to bellevue to have Korean BBQ
(kinda 焼き肉)
it was nice!
we talked about our company's problem,
and future, cultural differences in company
and something like that.

after eating, the supervisor felt good
so that we drunk at friends house.

actually i had plans,
so i left earlier than other people.
(after that, it is said that crazy things happened to them, kkk)


【22nd】
i attend business plan competition.
as the result, we were unable to get first place,
but it was really good experience for me.

after that,
i hanged out with my gf's one of the best friend,
and her bf, and my gf.

we did bowling.
(it was really fun)

after that we bought alcohol and
went to karaoke.

it was too fun!
i took a lot of pictures.
(i'll post them on facebook later)


anyway, it was awesome weekend!

I'm Daito
and today is Feb 20th

as of tomorrow,
one year has past since i came here.
i feel like kinda nostalgic.


in lunch time,
we shared lunch with other interns.
one of them made Okonomiyaki,
one of them made ....i forgot name but it was really awesome.
i made Yakisoba, but that was suck like no taste, kkk
so i decided to cook seriously tonight.


so after working,
i went to japanese grocery store to buy some materials.
during looking around, i decided to cook Oden.

I bought some materials, and cooked.
it took long time to cook.
but i realized Oden is easy unless
i use おでんの元, omg
i want to learn how to cook!


after i did that,
i made powerpoint slides with my team members.
it's done, so we have to give a presentation on this Sat
to win at business competition.

and today is Feb 19th


today i had class.
before that, i carried my heavy stuff to my agent's office
to send them to my house. it was hard to carry, omg
because of that, i'd go back to japan easily since i don't have a lot of stuff.


after school, we went to wine bar to hang out with classmates by drinking wine.
but as you know i'm underage, so i ordered juice, omg
but i'm glad that i can enter.


now, i'm making presentation slides for business competition.

and today is feb 18th


today i did internship,
and also i took class of online marketing.
but all that the teacher said is what i already knew,
so i was kinda bored...omg

i realized that i had enough knowledge of online marketing,
but i think like that's not enough to tell that i'm sophisticated about that.


i still have a looong way to go,
which means my life is gonna be more fun!!!


after i got home,
i wrote an article, and planed when i publish a book,
and read comic books, kkk

brings my memory back

and today is Feb 17th


today was holiday, so what i did are
getting ready to pack my stuff to go back,
and writing an article,
and watching friends,
and going to see my gf off  to airport.


during getting ready to pack,
i found many stuff that brings my memories back
like score of toeic of last march,
and letters from my friends, and gf,
and notebook from my first quarter.


almost one year has past since i came here.
i feel like time is really quick flied.
i'll enjoy another one month by internship,
attending party, watching friends, hanging out with my gf,
and my housemates, and friends.

today is my relaxed day.
what i did today are
watching ted, watching friends,
listening to american pop music,

actually these things are good practice to enhance my english skills.

lots of learning, apology, appreciation

I'm Daito
and today is Feb 15th


today i had birthday party for my friends.
actually i learned a lot from that party.
as the result, my achievement is like 40%
because i couldn't collect money enough.


the reason that i couldn't is that
i was mistaken that people who said i'd go were coming.
japanese tend to come if they said i'd come,
but American, or kinda pary people don't tend to come
even though they said like i'd come.


i didn't really understand the kinda culture difference.
i lost money, but it's kinda education fee for me.
cuz i learned a lot.


However,
I was soooo glad that people who came to the party
look fun by drinking, eating, chatting.


now that i looked back,
i think i did right things.
even though i lost money.


i'd like to say to the people who came today,
thank you so much for coming,
and spending fun time together.


i'd like to say to the people who supported me,
thank you for your help.
i can't tell how much i appreciate it.


and i'd like to say to the main character(birthday people),
i'd be glad if you guys had good time.
,and hopefully this is gonna be good memory for you.

Valentine Day

and today is Feb 14th
Valentine Day!!


after i finished internship,
i bought some stuff for tomorrow's birthday party for my friend.
i'm glad that my friends helped me to prepare for the party.


after that,
my gf cooked for me.

I told her like i wanted to eat that.
she remembered that, and cooked for me.
i was really nice!

after that,
she gave me them.

awesome chocolate,
and worm letter for me.

the letter makes me....what to say....
anyway, that was awesome valentine day ever!!

start investment game!!

I'm Daito
and today is Feb 13th


today and tomorrow,
my supervisor are gone,
so i was able to what i want today.

in lunch time,
i talked with workers for 2 ours,
and we decided to do investment game.

here is the role;

• we have $100,000
• we can trade just 10 times (buying counts one, selling counts one too)
• till beginning of Mar
• in order to join the game, you need $20
• the one who earns the most can get $60

sounds fun right? kkk

i didn't expect i could learn how to analyze company stocks in seattle.

that's sooo useful for me. 

after i got home,

i wrote an article for the website,

and made a playlist made of my favorite english songs.

i'll practice to sing fluently. kkk

looong way to go i think though, omg

I'm Daito,
and today is Feb 12th


today i had a class.
it's boring as usual.


before that class,
i went to a library to study toeic,
i did a mock test of toeic.
actually it's not bad, but it's just ok,
so i have to review where i made mistakes.


after school,
i went to another libraries to write an article for my website.
library is where i can concentrate on what i want to do, or have to do.


after that,
i had dinner with my roomies
because one of my roomies is going back to his country.
we can meet in japan though, lol


many friends go back...
it makes me want to go back too,
but it's kinda mixed feeling.
i'm leaning more toward hoping to go back than hoping to stay more.

I'm happy for them

and today is Feb 11th


as usual,
today i did internship,
but there was some differences from as usual.
today i was not only watching my supervisor's job,
but also opening up some envelops,
and figuring out the information,
and organizing them in excel format.


it were really fun for me
cuz i had to read english document,
and loan amount, and figure out if
the credit score is good, or bad.

i was able to learn how to set price on your products.
this is really useful for me.

i just talked with hair designer a lot
so that i forgot to tell her exactly

so now, my hair is not quite good actually,

heavy snow!!

it was heavy snow in seattle.
i heard that it's heavy snow in japan too.

anyway,
today what i did were having lunch at good japanese Soba restaurant,
doing some tasks at great hot-chocolate cafe.
we can drink wine, or beer with nice chocolate!!
we stayed there for about 6hours, or what.

after that, we cooked Butakimuchi, and another spicy foods,
because as i mentioned,
it was heavy snow today in seattle.


because of heavy snow,
many plans were changed.
i was gonna attend an event that i visit old hotel,
and learn history, but it's canceled.


so i have just one plan tomorrow!

today my supervisor left earlier,
so i just read some documents to learn about
"loan system of US"


but sometimes,
i wasn't able to concentrate on reading,

today,
we were supposed to leave seattle to south place
to take TOEIC examination, but because of heavy snow,
we changed plan like we decided to take one next month.
i appreciate that my senior managed a lot about this whole things
like checking wether report and traffic information,  booking next month's seat,
and so.

i forgot to tell you something.
i'm all done making book as of today!
like uploading it to purchase page,
and making advertisement page,
publishing mail-magazine.

one thing that i need now is
waiting my senior to fix CSS code of my website.

and today is Feb 6th


i did internship as usual,
but today i took a long class from 1pm to 4pm.
it was about finance of fundamental.
like balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow sheet.


it was useful for me since i've been thinking like
i had to get knowledge about finance a little.


after i got home,
i took a long nap, lol

i felt like it was already next day's morning
even though i'd been sleeping for 3 hours.
i'm sure 3 hours sleeping is best for me, lol
i'll leave seattle to somewhere to take toeic test, kkk

cuz it's really far so that i can't make it if i leave on the day of toeic, kkk
it's kinda small trip though.

and today is Feb5th

today, I have too much tasks to attend class.
the tasks were like making review page by designing review that my friends gave me.
and studying toeic (cuz this weekend, i have exam of toeic)
and writing an article for my website. (the article is about study abroad things)

each task takes me long,
but i could finish almost all because i didn't attend the class today.

my toeic score is getting higher,
so i have no worries about like my score is under 800

and today is Jan 4th

today i did internship,
what i did today were taking class of marketing,
and watching workers job,
and having lunch with another workers!!!


we talked about stocks investment things,
and culture difference things.
actually it was really good time for me.

i learned cultural differences a lot,
and how to invest to stocks.

this is my internship!
that's awesome
just talk, absorb.
i feel like i maximize seattle's life!

but i haven't started stadying toeic, lol
i practice american pop music, lol
because we're gonna go to karaoke with the couple
that we did double date before.

I got a job

and today is Jan 31th


today i had interview before i head to office.
actually it's been a long time since i had interview,
but it was very fun, and nice.

workers were really kind, and friendly,
and my desk has enough room,
and english environment!!!!!!

the company tends to take the students who want to learn about finance,
but i'm not interested in that.
how ever they accepted me as marketing position,
and business development position. that'd be great!

the most amazing thing is that
they have many classes for business people,
but i can take part in the classes with them!
sounds great doesn't it?

i might expect too much,
but i think it's better than my previous one for sure.
i don't mean my previous company is suck,
i just got used to it, it spoils me.

now i'm working on making LP

decided to quit

and today is Jan 28th


i did internship.
today something happened.
i decided to stop working at this company and
transfer to another company.

there are many reasons.
the bottom line is that my design skills are too poor to get design tasks from them.
but they told me like they can entrust design tasks to me later.
however, my supervisor told me something.
it seems like they don't wanna give me design tasks,
and don't wanna train me through job
because it takes long time.
today i was able to know what they think.
i'm glad to know that sooner.

the reason why i was able to decided to quite is
my senior who runs company together said me like
he can learn design by himself by making tons of stuff.
he didn't do internship, he did that by himself.
he said like the important things are making a lot,
and getting feedback.

25th cultivated part of Seattle
i explored around Fremont with my girl friend.
we talked a lot, and we were alway kinda excited. lol
we visited many places, and found good place!

my best korean friend cooked for us
especially for the person who leaves soon.
we had great time, and funny time!!

i stayed my girl friend's house and talked a lot,

this is the greatest thing we have.

and we know talking honestly (to convey what i feel honestly) is one of the most important things
to see each other.
i'm glad to meet the person who can convey her feeling honestly, and accept my feeling generously. i hope it makes our dream come true.

after i got home,
i was reading comic books, and writing an article for my website.
and i was done making a my first priority stuff.


while ago, my supervisor called me.

that day, i had class.
it was a little bit meaningless because it's not related to internship,

it was too cold to stand it, so i sent email them to go home.

it's like they are in other countries. omg

but today's my task was too easy

today i bought something.
after that i ordered double cheese hamburger to go,
but they served me just the hamburger.

【しゃべくリアン】My new year's resolution

usually i used to write the article of lien in japanese,
but only this time, i'll write it in english.

my new year's resolution is

• to be kind to the people around me

i should avoid what i did not really well last year.

僕はつい2,3日前に、ニューヨークでボールドロップ（カウントダウン）を楽しんできました。そのときに「先に知っておければ良かった」と思うことが多かったので、あなたが僕と同じ失敗をしないよう、情報を共有したいと思います。

2014年になった瞬間のTimes Square

・場所の取り方〜最高の場所で楽しみたいあなたへ〜
・持って行くべきもの〜準備しないと死ぬ？〜
・ちょっとした注意事項

それでは上から順にお話していきます！

おすすめの場所はどこ？

おすすめの場所は、人それぞれです。

ですが一番盛り上がっている所は、43th~46th(47th)ぐらいですね。

ですがそこで楽しむためには、極寒の中長時間待つ必要があります。

他サイトによると59thまではボールが肉眼で見えるそうですが、やはり前に行けば行くほど、盛り上がりがありますね。

場所の取り方〜最高の場所で楽しみたいあなたへ〜

先ほども言ったように、前で見るためにはなるべく早くから待つ必要があります。
昼の12時頃にはすでに多くの人が待っていました。
時間は気にしないから最高の席がいい。はやく場所を確保してしまいたい。
そんなあたなに1番のおすすめの待ち方は、Broadwayに先に入ってしまう待ち方です。


Broadwayから見る方法
Broadwayは早くから交通規制がされているので、場所を確保しやすいです。
そのため12時の段階ですでに多くの人が待っていたのですが、警察に色々場所を動かさせられる心配がないでしょう。

僕は7thでみたので、Broadwayの入り方は詳しく知りませんが、上（50th）から下って歩いているとエントランスがあると思います。
44,43thで見たい方は下の方からの侵入になるんですかね。
（正確には把握しきれていませんが、人が多く集まっていて45thあたりには入れるところが無かったので、こう書きました。）

僕は7thから見ようとしていたのですが、7thの道路閉鎖は3pmから。
だから3pmまでに交通規制しようとする警察の指示で多く場所を動くはめになりました。
そのため12pmで良い場所をとれなければ、移動して7thに勝負をかけるのもありですね。

7thから見る方法
7thへの侵入するための一番いい待機場所は、7thの歩道側の道。
さらに欲をいうと46thと7thの交差点（46thの上）がいいでしょう。
僕がいったときは、上の地図でいうと縦の細い道(46th,47th)がエントランスになりました。
つまり「7thにいてもエンターできない」ということです。

7thで見る際の待つべき場所（オレンジ）

44thから下、かつ7thという場所はどういう状況だったのかは把握しきれませんでした。
ただ1pmからBroadway（左下）と7th（右）がバリケードでドッキングされていました。
Broadwayは封鎖されているんで、動く必要がないので安心ですが、44thより下、且つ7thで見ようとしていた人は、オレンジの?のところで待っていたように思います。（ただの推測なので、完全には信用しないでください。）


あんまり待ちたくないあなたへ
後ろの方だから楽しめないと言う訳ではありません。
後ろの方だと肉眼でボールは見えなくなりますが、Broadwayの54th,52th,50thなどには特設スクリーンもあるようです。
ただ時間が遅くなると、交通規制のため思ったように行動できなくなります。
6thや8thからBroadwayと7thに侵入するため、歩く際はそちらの道を歩く事をお勧めします。

持って行くべきもの〜準備しないと死ぬ？〜

NYはとっっっても寒いです。
僕も結構準備して行ったつもりですが、寒かったです。

必要なモノ（準備）
・しっかりとした服装
・貼るカイロ3枚ほど（待ち始めてから貼るべき）
・足先をあたためるもの（足もとカイロ ）（気休め）
・ご飯（絶対お腹へります）
・おむつ（念のため）
・水分を控えること
・敷物（地べたに座りたくない人は）
・時間つぶしのアイテム


当日の僕の服装

マフラー＋フードの組み合わせが強い

・アンダーアーマー
・ヒートテック２枚
・分厚めのロングTシャツ
・トレーナー（重要：フード付き）
・ジャッケット
・コート
・レギンス
・分厚めの長ズボン
・厚めの靴下
・長い靴下
・マフラー
・手袋
・ブーツ

これだけ重装備にも関わらず、当日は凍えるように寒かったです。
特に足先！！！足先への対策をもっとすればよかった。
足先のカイロが効かなかった。
そして太ももとかに、貼るカイロとか貼れていれば、もっとましだったかも。

ちょっとした注意事項

当日は荷物のチェックがあります。
その際に気をつけておきたい事は、大きな荷物は認められていないということです。
出来るだけ荷物を必要最低限のもに絞り、かばんが大きくならないようにしましょう。
当日、バックパックの大きなリュックを背負っている人は、新年一時間前になったにも関わらず追い出されていました。
結局セントラルパークから見るはめになったそうです。
ですので荷物は小さくまとめましょう。


そしてもう１つ注意事項があります。
それは臨機応変に対応すること。
僕が書いたのはあくまで2014年現在の状況です。
ポリス曰く、エントランスや待機場所は、そのときの状況で変わるらしいです。
ですのでこれをすべて鵜呑みにせず、参考として頭にいれてもらえたらと思います。
臨機応変に対応することが必要不可欠になってきます。


臨機応変が難しいというあなたには、早くから封鎖されているBroadwayで、確実に場所を確保することをお勧めします！
